Skilled at sorting and analyzing the hype, conflicting information and diverse opinion about social media for business communications, Jayne authored the ground-breaking book, social.lawyers: Transforming Business Development (WEST 2010), which demystifies the key concepts of social media as they merge with fundamental business development principles.

She frequently speaks to groups on digital business development and marketing. Past engagements include the American Bar Association, The Legal Marketing Association, The Association of Legal Administrators, The International Paralegal Management Association, international law firm alliances, information technology conferences, and many others.

Jayne is frequently published and quoted in law journals, news media, blogs, and other legal marketing publications. She has been blogging since 2008 and is the author of the Virtual Marketing Officer blog.

Professional Involvement

Jayne served as an officer and international director of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) from 2001 to 2008. There she was instrumental in developing policy, membership, two generations of the LMA International website, and the Association’s strategic technology plan. In 2008 she authored the first LMA white paper on social networking, “Humans Seek Connections | The case for online social networking for law firm marketing and business development.” Free download.

She is a member of the American Bar Association and serves as Communications Chair for the International Section, Law Practice Management Forum.

Community Involvement

In addition to her contributions to online communities including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and guest blogging for the ABA, she donates generously to The Wounded Warrior Project, The Alzheimer Association, Florida Keys SPCA, Bucks County Pennsylvania SPCA, and the Florida Highway Patrol Command Officers Association.
